We all have them. The shoes we wear when we are running out the door and don't have time to put together the tail ends of outfits, or are off doing something in the outdoors (or in the case of college students, taking a shower). Shit-Flops. Or things close to Shit-Flops. Ladies, I love you but there are some things that should not be worn regularly even if they are your "idontgiveacrap" shoes.
Following Offenders:
Crocs (unless you are gardening or in the shower, they should not be seen).
Merrils
Chacos (great for the outdoors! but if you already have to pull the straps on why not wear cute shoes...?)
Keens (again, save it for the outdoors)
Tevas (OUTDOORS)
Suggestions:
Rainbows: Rainbows are actually durable flip flops with arch support AND a warranty. When you grind through the first few layers of the sole you can send them in and get a new pair! They come in a variety of colors, materials and styles. However, they are not water proof and should be replaced every year or so.
Havianas: these shoes are perfect shit flops. They come in every color under the sun, are perfect to get wet (I used them as my shower shoes), are relatively inexpensive and are sold everywhere. Money goes towards the Brazilian Institute for Ecological Research and Conservation International. Both organizations help to save Brazilian ecosystems, while creating measures to prevent further damage. Good cause!
Keds: cute slip ons. Designed for every kind of weather and style.
Toms: We have seen them everywhere but they really do make a difference. The different mediums and styles are fun (please don't all buy the same ones). Every pair you buy pays for a pair to go to an underprivileged child! You also get a cute toms flag when you buy them!
Please remember - if your toes are out, they best be clean/ and or polished.
According to Cosmo feet can be a big deal breaker for boys...if that matters.
